First of all, I've been on vacation for a week and I've been having SO MUCH FUN!  From riding bikes, to eating lots of pizza, watching movies, baking cookings and spending the day at the beach!  I've been celebrating all week!!!!

I was talking with a friend of mine today, and had a very uplifting and inspirational conversation.  Our focus without any intention was about prayer.  We talked about the hope and the peace we recieve from God, when we give our circumstances and situations to the Lord.  

In tough times giving up can seem so easy to do!  The words "Who cares!" can cloud your heart from wanting to make good decisions and keep you feeling DEFEATED! 

There have been times in my life where everything around me, seemed like it was falling apart!  It was during these difficult times, that I learned about the POWER of PRAYER!  It was PRAYER that kept my focus on the Jesus, and kept my heart from feeling defeated!  It was PRAYER that got me through difficult times!  And it was PRAYER that changed my life then, and still does to this day!

If you are going through a difficult time, I encourage you to allow the POWER of PRAYER   
to give you hope, and comfort you when you pray!

I recently went to the AT&T in Pebble Beach and was totally star struck when I saw Kevin James, Ray Romano, Justin Timberlake and Payton Manning.  My husband was so cool when he was talking to Kevin (Aka: Mall Cop) and the only squeak that came from me was "Thank you Kevin" in this high pitch voice that I didn't even know existed. How embarrasing! 

I couldn't take my eyes off all the celebrities I saw!  Especially when Justin Timberlake was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!  I kept thinking WHOA! There is MAJOR TALENT standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! OH MY GOSH! Tha' Tha' That's Justin Timberlake! 

Although "the guy in the Red Jacket" caught my attention too.  When he put both hands in the air to signal the fans to be quiet, I was amazed at the immediate silence from the crowd.  Out of respect for the golfers, all the fans knew at that moment to stand still and not speak a word.
 
With this I'm simply reminded of Jesus, when he calmed the storm with the simple words,

"Peace! Be still!" 

The silence of the storm, and the stillness of the wind and the waves that obeyed his mere words.
